SASIxp attendance database integration is no easy business. A vendor cannot simply read the "raw" attendance file in order to determine whether or not students are absent. Invalid absences linger in the raw attendance file and must be ignored because of enrollment, class, and track schedule changes. Because Edulink employs many former SASIxp developers, we understand the complex business logic that must be applied on top of the raw SASIxp attendance files in order to guarantee our absentee list is identical to the SASIxp master absence list. Eleven SASIxp data files must be read and analyzed in order to accomplish this feat. For a principal, it's maddening (if not embarrassing) to call parents of students who were not absent from school.

Second and perhaps even more important, the Intouch Autodialer's database integration component is "integrated" into the main program. Another way to think of it is the right hand working intelligently with the left hand. If the database integration solution of a competitive product is built into a separate application running as a separate process, the main auto-dialer program must take a "leap of faith" in assuming the absentee list was created successfully. If the external data integration program failed (for any reason), the dialer will be calling the same students who were already called the day before. Again, this doesn't make principal's very happy.

Lastly, the Intouch Autodialer database integration is far more robust than any other autodialer on the market. In addition to calling students who are absent, schools can effortlessly call and/or email students owing fines, having grade deficiency, involved in a disciplinary incident, and much more. Other competitors may make the same claim, but it is not fully-integrated to the SASIxp database. Exporting and data massaging may be required. A unique feature to the Intouch Autodialer that no other competitor offers is a complete record of attendance, report card, progress report, discipline history, and fee history that may optionally be attached to the email.
